Cookie Notice
This notice explains how the OmniVessel Vessel Inspection Suite (VIS) uses cookies and similar technologies. We use only strictly necessary cookies to sign you in and keep your account secure - no advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking.
Effective 4 July 2026 · Applies to OmniVessel Vessel Inspection Suite (VIS)
01Introduction
This Cookie Notice is issued by Omnivessel LLC (a company registered in Georgia) and applies to the OmniVessel Vessel Inspection Suite. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
02What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site’s operators. Similar technologies - such as browser local storage - perform comparable functions and are covered by this notice.
Cookies are commonly grouped as strictly necessary (required for the service to function and be secure), functional, analytics, and advertising / tracking. Under the GDPR and ePrivacy rules, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent; the other categories generally do.
03Our approach
The Platform is a professional tool, not a consumer or advertising site. We deliberately keep our use of cookies to the minimum needed to operate securely. Specifically:
- we use only strictly necessary cookies;
- we do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies;
- we do not use third-party behavioural analytics or profiling;
- we do not sell or share cookie data with advertisers.
Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary, no consent banner is required to use them. We publish this notice for transparency.
05Other local storage
To remember your interface preferences, the Platform stores a small value in your browser’s local storage:
- theme - remembers whether you chose light or dark mode, so the correct theme is applied before the page paints. It stays on your device, is never sent to our servers, and carries no personal data.
06Controlling cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings - most browsers let you block or remove them, and offer a private / incognito mode. Managing cookies is done per browser; see your browser’s help pages for instructions.
Please note that because our cookies are strictly necessary, blocking or deleting them will prevent you from logging in and using the Platform - for example, you would be unable to stay authenticated or keep a device trusted for two-factor verification. Clearing your local storage will simply reset your theme preference.
07Changes to this notice
We may update this notice if the cookies we use change. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first, as required by law.
